Just a quick reminder to everybody that Tuesday Training has now finished.

Also April is a busy month for all Stafford Hockey Club Members in terms of fundraising and Celebration.

Stafford Beer and Hockey Festival 2014 – 10th, 11th and 12th of April

This date is the biggest event in the Hockey Club’s Calender and also the biggest fundraiser of the year. We have 20 different Ales and 9 different Ciders on offer this year, all from across the country. We have an Live Acoustic night on the Thursday night, Live band on Friday and also Live music on the Saturday night. On the Saturday we have the Hockey Festival, this involves over 18 teams from the local area and further afield. The day starts at 9am for and continues through the day. If you need a team or wish to enter one please get in contact with myself ASAP.

This is a huge event a relies on the help from our members. If you can give some time in the week (Friday especially) it will be greatly appreciated. We  are also in need of raffle prizes and members that know how to flip a burger.

Presidents Game and SGM – 26th April

To finish the season we play a President’s XI vs a Chairman’s XI. This club game is open to all club members and is a celebration of the season and the players that have played throughout the season. The game starts at 12:30 but players should ideally arrive between 12:00/12:15. If you are interested in playing, contact Mav or Dan Howe and we will arrange 2 teams to compete on the day.

After the game we will hold the Special Annual Meeting which all members are invited and advised to attend as its an important meeting to elect new members of the club. It is also chance to discuss any information in regards to the hockey section and its development.

End of Season Presentation Dinner – 26th April

The end of season presentation dinner will take place on Saturday evening and will be a celebration of teams and players in the club. Tickets for this event will be £10 and will include a delicious curry dinner (poppadoms included). Dress code for this event is to be smart (shirt and tie). Please let your captains know of if you are going to be attending. Tickets should be available at the clubhouse during April. Raffle prize donations welcome.
