MOM Nathan Silito

Stafford’s start was not the best and reflected not having played for 2 weeks. Once they settled down the goals came at regular intervals throughout the remainder of the game.

The deadlock was broken by a slick move with Nathan Silito controlling the ball in the D before laying off a peach of a ball to Robbo who just had to pass it into the back of the goal.

The most well worked goal came from a driving run by John Falconbridge who slipped the ball to Tony Milner just inside the 23 whose first time ball to Dave Parr was laid off to Robbo who scored again.

Nathan got a couple of excellent goals which along with his play on the left deservedly won him man of the match.

West Brom continued to play well throughout the game but struggled to break down the Stafford defence and their spirit was knocked when an strong shot was brilliantly saved by Rich Dean in goal. This was probably their best effort on goal.

Last but not least a mention goes to Tony Milner who scored a wonder goal and proved that it is not all about smashing it into the goal – they all count!

Final league game before the Christmas break is away against Old Wulfrunians.
